A Plaid Tweed Shirtdress For Fall Julia

A few weekends back, we drove out from NYC to Rhode Island and then from Rhode Island to Kennebunkport, Maine. Along our drive, we took a detour at Sweet Berry Farm for a taste of all things fall- apples, pumpkins, pie, apple cider donuts and some u-pick zinnias, all the cliches that I’m happy to admit I love so much. I spend the whole month of October trying to soak in as much of it as possible since it comes and goes so quickly. With Halloween this week and November just days away, it’s only a matter of time until we’re switching out our pumpkins and mums for Christmas trees and poinsettias.

Our Gal Meets Glam Collection Jeanie dress is our fall take on a simple shirtdress silhouette, sans collar. A beautiful brown tweed perfectly pairs with tortoise buttons, making what I like to call, the most ideal fall dress. The fabric has a really nice weight to it and will transition really well into the cooler weather we’re finally getting.

I don’t eat too many sweets these days, but I can never pass up a few apple cider donuts this time of year- they’re essential to fall! They also make a great road trip snack when driving out to do fall activities- Thomas and I ended up snacking on them all the way to Maine.
