Packing for Spain Lisa

I’m officially counting down the days until we leave for our babymoon! We had the most amazing time exploring Seville last spring, so when we started discussing a destination where we could enjoy equal parts adventure and relaxation, Spain immediately came to mind. There are some countries I’ll never grow tired of visiting, particularly places that boast beautiful landscapes, amazing food, and fascinating history. Although this will only be our second trip to Spain together, I already know it’s a place I want to return again and again. This time around, we’re headed to the island of Mallorca and I can hardly wait to see a new-to-us and totally different part of this gorgeous country.

This is our only international trip this year for just the two of us, and we’re especially excited to make it a true vacation—taking some time away from our computers to simply relax and enjoy ourselves. I’ll be [add number] weeks along at the time of our trip, so one of my top priorities is spending as much time in the pool as possible. I’m packing tons of swimsuits so I can pop into the water anytime I want throughout the day, without ever having to wait for a suit to dry. As usual, I’m including plenty of feminine one-pieces (like this one and this one) in my suitcase, but I also picked up this striped bikini so I can show off my bump!

When I’m not in swimsuits and cover-ups, I’m planning to wear some of the breeziest, most colorful items in my closet. I’ve been so enchanted by bright colors recently, from yellows, to oranges, to reds. The landscape and architecture of Spain create the perfect backdrop for my new favorite vibrant hues, so there will hardly be a neutral item in my suitcase. Along with some of our most colorful May Gal Meets Glam Collection styles, like the Arina dress and Beverly jumpsuit, one of the pieces I’m most looking forward to wearing is this stunning orange Zimmermann maxi, which will be perfect for some fancier dinners. Even though our number one focus for this trip is relaxation, we also can’t wait to explore and experience our surroundings to the fullest. I bought these Sezane sandals to wear around town, and am adding some comfortable block heels like these to my suitcase as well.

Orange Floral One-Piece

Knotted details and a geometric floral pattern make this one-piece totally different than anything else in my swimsuit collection. I can’t wait to spend hours by the pool wearing these bright colors!

Palm Print One-Piece

From the ruffle sleeves to the elegant print, this swimsuit immediately caught my attention. On low-key evenings at our hotel, it could easily double as a bodysuit, paired with a flowing skirt for dinner.

Floral Linen Maxi

I lived in linen pieces last summer, so when I saw that this burnt orange floral maxi was linen, I knew it would be perfect for our trip. Both the fabric and silhouette will keep Baby B and me cool and comfortable.

Striped Bikini

I tend to prefer one-piece swimsuits, but the colorful, 70s-inspired stripes and ribbon details of this Zimmermann bikini were too charming to resist.
